What we now call "La Vecchia Cartiera" (The Old Paper-mill) was a factory of valuable paper active since 1200. The old structure, located in the centre of Colle Val d'Elsa, only 18 Km from Siena, has become a comfortable hotel after a careful refurbishing. The façade, characterised by harmonious arched windows, evidences the architectural traits of the paper-mills of that time.

Our delightful rooms and suites are one of the many reasons the majority of our guests return to us, year after year. All accomodations have air-conditioning, at least one bathroom, satellite TV, mini-bar and all have views of surrounding vine-yards and mountains.
We have an olympic size swimming pool, with children’s pool attached, a gymnasium, two clay tennis courts, and offer many services such as horse riding and quad biking. Our restaurant runs along side the pool with awnings and gazzebos in place to offer breakfast and meals along the boardwalk of our flood lit pool.
