"La Vecchia Cartiera", la fabrique de papier, est une ancienne usine de billets datant du XIIIème siècle. L'établissement se situe dans le centre de Colle Val d'Elsa, à seulement 18km de Siena. L'hôtel fut entièrement remeublé, et a entretenu sa facade caractéristique avec fenêtre en arc harmonieuses et les autres curiosités de l'ancienne usine.

The type of four star service we offer along with all our services is basically unmatchable by any other hotel outside of the cities.
The hotel itself is a 17 th century palazzo, re-stored and modernised into six structures, which blend in perfectly with the 20 acres of protected Tuscan park land in which we are based.
Each room or suite is individually furnished, and all have there own special characteristics –such as large rustic fire places, original palazzo doors, frescoes, gallery bedrooms, Tuscan four poster beds, and nearly all have either a garden or terrace. Our delightful rooms and suites are one of the many reasons the majority of our guests return to us, year after year. All accomodations have air-conditioning, at least one bathroom, satellite TV, mini-bar and all have views of surrounding vine-yards and mountains.
We have an olympic size swimming pool, with children’s pool attached, a gymnasium, two clay tennis courts, and offer many services such as horse riding and quad biking. Our restaurant runs along side the pool with awnings and gazzebos in place to offer breakfast and meals along the boardwalk of our flood lit pool.

Cet hôtel charmant se niche dans le pays d'Elsa. Sa taille et sa position stratégique entre Siena et Florence en font un hôtel de choix.
En 1300, le château fut rasé et les maisons fortifiées qui le caractérisent aujourd'hui furent construites sur les ruines.

Considering its geographical position, the castle is the ideal starting point either for interesting cultural excursions to the nearby Florence, Siena, Colle Val d' Elsa, San Gimignano, Volterra, Cortona and Pienza
