Our history: the Locanda derives its name from the first owner's family name that lived inside the building from about the 15th century The ancient cellar where they produced the sciacchetrà is now the Locanda Ca' dei Duxi's breakfast room, we have only 10 rooms (8 with air conditioning and 2 without air conditioning). We are located in the center of the village, 5 minute walking from the station, 3 minute from the sea and 5 minute to the parking place.

Setting off from La Spezia, the first village one encounters is Riomaggiore, which boasts the typical terraced structure of villages in torrential valleys, with steep sides and restricted valley floor. The landscape is therefore typically vertical and stairs and steps make up the roads. The main road is a covered canal beneath which runs the Rivus Maior stream from which the village takes its name. Riomaggiore is connected to the other villages by the path n 2, the blue path or by trains and boats. All rooms are well equipped with all comforts. The rooms are located on 3 floors.

The residence belonged to a peasant/sailors family of Riomaggiore which dates back to the 15th century.
This building, situated in the heart of the village, have been refurbished by the present owner in 2008 transforming it in a pleasant hotel of nine rooms with all comforts.
The breakfast room was an old cellar where the one and only "schiachetrà" wine was produced. This room, although restructed its characteristic brick vaults, have been left unaltered.
