Agriturismo Santa Margherita enjoys a peaceful setting on the lush, green hills of Gioiosa Marea, Sicily. Overlooking the sea, the establishment provides stunning views of Stromboli and the Aeolian Islands.
This lucky position offers easy access to the ancient colony of Tindarys, featuring a Greek theatre, a Roman villa and the Sanctuary of the Black Virgin. Other destinations such as Capo Calavà, Milazzo, Taormina, Mount Etna and Cefalù, as well as the Aeolian Islands, can be reached either independently or by tours organized by the hotel.
The complex is based in a villa, belonging to the same family for over 2 centuries, that was recently renovated. It is now a comfortable and fully equipped resort, maintaining a delightful look, in a typical Sicilian aristocratic style. The premises are adorned by flowers, palm and olive trees, orange and lemon groves, providing the ambiance of a classic Mediterranean botanic garden.

The Aeolian Islands can be reached in just one hour by boat from Gioiosa Marea or Milazzo: there are 7 volcanic islands offering different views.
Cefalù is also only an hour by car, it deserves a visit for its seaside, cathedral and small alleyways.
In addition, you can take day excursions to: Palermo; Taormina; Monreale; Erice; Selinunte; Segestum; Agrigentum; the Valley of the Temples; Piazza Armerina; Syracuse; Noto (Baroque Art); and other splendid Sicilian localities.

Take the Messina-Palermo (A20) motorway (direction Palermo, if you are coming from Messina; or Messina, if you are coming from Palermo). Leave the motorway at the Patti exit and continue on the fast running road until the end. At the junction turn following the blue SS.113 Palermo signpost and continue on the same road for around 2 kilometers (You are on the S.S 113, after a while you will have the sea on your right). After this you will meet a small railway bridge underpass. Immediately after you must turn left - here you will find a signpost "AGRITURISMO S.MARGHERITA" on your left. Go up the hill for around 1,5 kilometers and you will find us.
