B&B Villa Chiarenza

Built in a typical Sicilian Baroque style, this 18th-century villa has completely been restored, with the greatest care and attention being paid to the finest details.
The villa has a spacious garden (2000 square metres), embellished with a large Caltagirone vase collection with several cacti-plants, which the hostess takes care of. There are corners in the shade of pines, eucalypti and citrus-groves in which you can enjoy a relaxing moment and dedicate yourself to reading your favourite books.
Furnished with antiques, the villa, formerly the Domenicians' summer residence, is now an elegant and spacious place to spend a relaxing Mediterranean break.

The villa’s austere lounges represent the style of this B&B, which reflects Sicily’s reputation for its antiques beauties. The handmade brickwork floor also contributes to the residence’s elegance.
The villa is surrounded with a particular portico, which holds a spacious penthouse to allow the maximum coolness even on the warmest days.
The gracious pergola is in peaceful corner in which you will hear the crickets’ song during the summer evenings.
A football field is at the children’s disposal.
Room information
Each of the bedrooms has been specially designed with comfort in mind. They are luxurious, spacious, light and elegantly furnished. All the rooms have a veranda from which you will enjoy a stunning view over the Mount Etna, so you will be able to view lava flows or the snow-clad top in the cooler months.
You can choose from single, double (with double bed or twin beds), or a suite (with two twin/double rooms). The rooms are cleaned every day and the bedding is done twice a week.
Each room has private bathroom, very large and cleaned.
Food & beverage
Every morning a rich and healthy breakfast is served with accurate and refined service. During the breakfast time you can enjoy classical music, which creates a graceful atmosphere.
During the summer time breakfast is served outdoors under the veranda, where you can enjoy a marvellous panoramic view and a very good climate. During the winter time you will be served in the austere breakfast room, furnished with typical Sicilian ceramics.

Distances:
- 3 km from the beautiful Taormina historian centre, which you can reach by bus (the stop is 10 minutes from the villa on foot).
- Within a 5 minute walk you will get to Giardini Naxos beach, which is famous for its good beach-service during the summer.
- Mount Etna is reachable in 20 minutes by car. Here you will find ski-lifts during the winter.
- In 5 km you will reach Alcantera Cave, beautiful reserve open all year.

- Take the A18 motorway, Catania-Messina.
- Exit at Giardini Naxos.
- Follow the villa's brown signs in the direction of Chianchitta, and after Calcarone.
By Train:
The villa provides a pick-up service from Taormina train station.
