Area information
Bormio it’s situated in Alta Valtellina, in the heart of Stelvio National Park. The mountain resort is 1225 metres above sea level, in a small town full of history and art. It is also a famous ski resort where world-wide level competitions take place, and a large and equipped skiing district with several ski instructors at your disposal.
Bormio is also the Bikers’ Paradise; for traditional cyclists, it is an ideal starting point for exciting excursions on the most impressive Alpine roads which have written the legends of cycling: Stelvio, Gavia and Mortirolo. For MTB enthusiasts, as it is the district across the high plateaux of Cancano and Livigno, join Bormio to Engadine and St. Moritz, it offers over 800km of tracks and paths.
A charming 9-hole mountain golf course is also available.

- Join the S.S.38 towards Sondrio – Bormio.
- Take the motorway Brennero from Bolzano towards Stelvio Pass.
- Follow signs toward Tonale Pass and Gavia Pass.
- From Engadine, follwo signs toward Forcola Pass and Bernina Pass.
From the main road S.S. 38:
- Take the Gallo Pass Tunnel (closed at night) coming from Engadine, Alto Adige or Austria.
From the Center and South Italy:
- Take the Bologna-Milano motorway, or Motorway Modena - Brennero.
- Exit at Brescia Ovest.
- Join the S.S. 510 towards Boario Terme.
- Take the SS. 42 towards Edolo.
- Join the SS. 39 towards Aprica - Tirano - Bormio.
