At the Crystal Hotel the conference facilities include spacious rooms where every type of gathering can be organized. The Sala Ligny and Egadi meeting rooms can collectively accommodate up to 160 delegates and are equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment.

The ancient Drepanon stretches out towards the Mediterranean in the shape of a scythe on whose furthest point stands the majestic Tower of Ligny, a watch tower built in 1761 and today housing a museum. Trapani, famous since the second half of the sixteenth century for the amazing art produced by its master coral workers, still tries today to safeguard and keep alive this craft. A rich collection of works in coral is conserved in the Pepoli Museum next to the sanctuary of the Annunziata, inside which is the marble Madonna of Trapani, dating from the 14th century. The town’s history is still visible as one walks through its streets. The streets of the historic centre recount to the passer-by many memories from the past: the Jewish quarter with the Palace of the Giudecca; the Casalicchio quarter which, with its Arabian-style maze of little streets, is the most ancient core of the city; Palazzo Cavaretta, the ancient seat of the Trapanese Senate. Today Trapani is a lively little city with a busy maritime activity which manages to reconcile its deep-rooted traditions with the demands of progress.
