Completely rebuilt in 1984, the Grand Hotel Royal, is a classically designed hotel, furnished with comfortable sofas, antique chairs and carpets, finely decorated inlaid wood works furniture, marbled staircases, spectacular crystal chandeliers, and deluxe decors.
Large park with belvedere terraces for dancing parties and Gala buffets.
Private beach reachable by lift directly from the hotel.
Sunbathing terraces, free sunchairs, sun umbrellas and towels. Sun beds are at a charge.

Restaurant Le Relais welcomes its Guests into a spacious and elegant setting. The cuisine, featuring authentic regional flavour, boasting a high creative level, proposes the best local and international dishes, prepared by our talented Chefs. Excellent and well furnished the wine selection proposed, featuring prestigious local and international labels. The Glicini Room ( picture on the right ), annexe to the main Restaurant Room, overlooks the magnificent secular park, with panoramic view of the Gulf of Naples, offering to its Guests, a pleasant wakening, with Buffet Breakfast service, in addition to be particularly suitable for the organisation of wedding receptions and banquets.

Lounge Bar Caprice
Simple and elegant, the Caprice Lounge Bar , furnished with glass-topped tables and wicker chairs, and characterized by a spectacular hand painted floor, is an ideal location to taste a warm afternoon tea or a fresh lemon liqueur as after dinner. During summer time coloured cocktails and aperitifs , prepared by our talented Barmen, are served on the annexe terrace ( picture on the right ), with green wrought iron tables, to enjoy, at the best, the last sunset beams with its wrapping smells. In certain evenings, Guests will be able to enjoy an involving piano bar, making the atmosphere even more pleasant and cool.

A splendid and famous holiday resort, Sorrento stands on a terrace rising steeply above the sea on one of the most spectacular points of the Campanian coast. Because of its enchanting position and mild climate, sheltered by the surrounding hills, Sorrento has been a favorite resort since Romans times, (Agrippa, Augustus and Antonius all had villas here) and it became an elite tourist resort from the eighteenth century, its hotels welcoming such luminaries as Ibsen, Wagner and Nietzche.

To get to Sorrento, to the Grand Hotel Royal we suggest the following solutions:

By Aircraft: Capodichino Airport of Naples is the closest one to Neapolitan Riviera.

By Car: Follow the signs Sorrento peninsula ( penisola sorrentina) on the motorway A1 Rome-Naples which will take you at the motorway A3 Salerno-ReggioCalabria. Leave the motorway at the exit Castellammare Di Stabia and follow the signs Penisola Sorrentina on the coast road 145 from Castellamare di Stabia to Sorrento. Once you get to Sorrento follow the signs to our Hotels.

By Train: The central station of Naples is connected to Sorrento by the local train line Circumvesuviana. The terminal station is located right in the centre of Sorrento just few minutes walking to the Grand Hotel Royal. The journey lasts about 1 hour.

By Hydrofoil: From the harbour of Naples Molo Beverello there are hydrofoils to Sorrento almost every hour. The port of Sorrento “Marina Piccola” is very close to the centre and to the Grand Hotel Royal. The journey takes about 40 minutes.
