Il Mirto and la Rosa B&B is located in Ognina, a wonderful seaside resort just 10 km from Siracusa city centre.
The house is just 500 metres from the seaside and 6 km from Plemmirio Reservoir. Steep reefs are the main features of this place, together with an untouched natural surrounding and breathtaking sea grottos, small bays and white beaches.
The location of the B&B allows guests to reach many places of art, culture or natural interest in the Province of Siracusa, such as Avola (city of the almonds) just 8 km away, Noto (Sicilian Baroque) 18 km or Protected area of Vendicari, just 15km away. Ognina is the ideal place for fishing and scuba activities in a crystal clear sea.
The B&B is a 2 storey-house and offers a wide car park for guests. Our rooms are painted in light colours which give visitors a warm and cosy feeling. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning and a TV set.

The B&B Il Mirto e la Rosa is located in Ognina, a picturesque bathing resort that is situated only 10 km from Syracusa, in wonderful pristine surroundings. From May until October you will find sunshine and a stunning blue sea that is well worth a visit.
The hotel is just 500 metres away from the coast and its varied views of rocky cliffs facing the sea and secluded white sanded coves. Ognina is the perfect place for diving and fishing, as well as for simply enjoying the sights and sounds of the Mediterranean.
The coastline was eroded by the wind and consists of numerous cliffs and many steep slopes, grottos and caves with unforgettable colours and shapes. There are also small isolated bays with white sandy beaches. Due to the location of the hotel you can easily reach all the cultural attractions and natural beauties of the South East coast of Sicily, such as: Noto (10 km); Avola (8 km); and Pachino and Portopalo (15 km).
A striking setting combines the wonderful, preserved wild landscapes with the breathtaking sunlight and shades of blue, typical of the Sicilian Sea, that by itself are well worth a visit.

From the Catania - Siracusa motorway:
- Head towards the A18 Siracusa-Cassibile motorway. The hotel is 3 km from the motorway exit Cassibile, in the direction of Fontane Bianche/Ognina.
The hotel is 10 km to Siracusa along the SS115 Fontane Bianche – Ognina road.
By Plane:
The hotel is 45 minutes from Fontanarossa Airport, Catania.
