In the prestigious seaside village of Scopello, which overlooks the Faraglioni rock-stacks and the ancient Tonnara 300, metres below, this elegant hotel is also close to the enchanting Nature reserve of Lo Zingero.
The hotel is well situated for visiting the most important cultural sites in the area: Segesta; Erice; Egadi Islands; Trapani; Palermo (Monreale); and Selinunte are all within an hour’s drive. The hotel also offers the possibility of excursions and boat trips, and the chance to dive on the wonderful natural coast line near Scopello.
The hotel opened in 1969 but was originally founded in the early 1700’s, on the site of an earlier Arab castle. Carefully restored, this family-run hotel maintains the traditions of hospitality and fine regional cooking.

The executive bedrooms have a view of the sea and the nature reserve and some have balconies.
The standard rooms are en-suite and have been elegantly furnished with rattan décor.
In some rooms it is possible to provide extra beds on request.

A generous buffet breakfast is served each morning and is included in the room rate. You can enjoy your meal inside or on the covered terrace.
In the evenings you can sample genuine local dishes, including pasta
‘casereccia’, made by hand, and Sicilian fish dishes, charcoal grilled meat or fish and typical local produce.
Half-board includes an evening meal from an extensive à la carte menu.

Tours and excursions offered by the hotel include:
- A day trip along part of the North West coast aboard the motorboat, Penelope: the tour leaves from Castellammare del Golfo, taking in the sights of interest along this beautiful coastline before arriving at St. Vito Lo Capo and returning by the Faraglioni of Scopello.
- A trip to the famous thermal baths at Segesta. The baths are fed by 3 sulphur springs at a constant 46/47 degrees centigrade. The spa offers a highly therapeutic mud treatment, natural sauna, inhalation, aerosol and irrigation, massage in water and a swimming pool filled from the hot springs.
- Expert divers will accompany you on an unforgettable underwater journey in the seas around lo Zingaro nature reserve and San Vito lo Capo; a marine environment with all the richness of the Mediterranean ecosystem.
- Guided mountain walks within lo Zingaro nature reserve, through dwarf palms and colourful wild flowers, home to a rich flora and fauna: Eagles, peregrine falcons, foxes, porcupines and many other birds, reptiles and insects. You can also visit the magnificent cave of Uzzo, where, thanks to a series of excavations, many ancient graves have been brought to light. Other wonderful places are the Tonnara dell’Uzzo, and in the high part of the reserve is the Baglio Cusenza, a group of about 20 rural buildings at the foot of mount Passo del Lupo.

By Car:
- Take the A29 motorway Palermo – Trapani.
- Exit at Castellammare del Golfo.
- Follow the SS 187 for Trapani and Scopello.
- After 4-5 km, take the right-hand turning signed Scopello.
- Continue down past the sea at Guidaloca and continue straight on for 2.4 km to Scopello.
- The hotel is easily found in the main square.
By Train:
From either Alcomo Diramazione or Castellammare del Golfo, take a bus for Scopello.
By Air:
Falcone-Borsellino Airport (Palermo): 45 km.
Birgi Airport (Trapani): 55 km.
On request the hotel can organise a car and driver for transfers.
The hotel has a non-supervised, free car park. From 15th June to the 15th September a supervised car park is available (additional cost).
The village is closed to traffic in the summer months, you can ask for assistance with baggage transfer at reception.
