Oliodivino With a beautiful idyllic setting in a garden on a farm, this 300 year-old country house has been sensitively renovated to offer bright, spacious, airy accommodation in a traditional style.

This charming farmhouse’s beautiful original stone structure has been carefully preserved and is still visible both inside and outside. The building now offers just 6 comfortable, spacious rooms with private bathrooms. Each room is furnished in typical local style with antique furniture, authentic embroidered Florentine linen and wrought-iron beds.

The large, beautiful gardens provide a beautiful, tranquil environment in which to relax and enjoy a restful, restorative holiday. The gardens are located within the borders of a working 70-hectare farm, which produces oil, wine, wheat and corn. The farm is in the heart of the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi wine-producing region (part of Italy’s Denominazione di Origine Controllata wine region).

Hotel information

The house is situated on a hill in a quiet, beautiful and yet convenient, location. The main Ancona-Roma motorway is just 2 km away and Ancona Falconara Airport is just 15 minutes away. The house’s proximity to the area’s major road network makes Oliodivino a great base from which to tour the region, whether you are wine tasting or simply admiring the scenery and enjoying a tranquil holiday.

All of the surrounding area is a nature reserve hosting a rich variety of wildlife. It is common to see hares and pheasants in the gardens. There is a small lake just a short distance from the farm and it is possible to fish there.

There are play areas in the garden for children and the entire building is non-smoking.

Room information

There are 3 kinds of room available, standard and superior rooms and suites. Suites are 50 m² in area and have 4 beds, superior rooms have 3 to 4 beds and standard rooms have 2 beds. Interconnected standard rooms for families and groups of friends are available.

All the rooms are spacious, bright and airy with plenty of natural light thanks to their large windows. The rooms are on the ground floor with large windows looking out onto the garden and with direct access from the garden. Only the Basilico suite does not have direct access from the garden. This is because the suite is at the top of the house. The suite has a real working fireplace, an original-style wood-beamed brick roof and a very old original floor.

All of the rooms are furnished in a traditional style with antique furniture, authentic embroidered linen and wrought-iron beds. The rooms feature wooden country doors, which are typical of this region.

Bed linen is changed twice a week.

A continental breakfast is available every day and is included in the room rate.

There are number of excellent authentic restaurants in the area surrounding the hotel and staff are able to make recommendations and help advise guests regarding local restaurants.

The hotel is situated in the Marche region of Italy (originally from le marche de Ancona, referring to the March of Ancona). The region has a strong and ancient tradition of delicious cuisine and guests can sample authentic local delicacies and specialities at various restaurants in the region.

Area information

The hotel is 8 km from the charming town of Jesi. An attractive and historic place enclosed within perfectly preserved ancient ramparts, Jesi has an art gallery featuring the work of the Renaissance painter Lorenzo Lotto.

Alternatively, you may prefer to visit the Frasassi caves, which are just 15 minutes away by road. The caves feature some of the finest examples of stalactites and stalagmites in the world. Just 20 minutes away from the hotel, Senigallia, is a charming village with a fantastic sandy beach. A little further afield, but still just 30 minutes or so away from the hotel, Riviera del Conero is a stunning mountain in the sea with beautiful white beaches. The charming village of Portonovo, famous for its fresh, locally caught seafood is a similar distance away. Slightly closer to the hotel, you could visit Cingoli, Osimo, Macerata or Loreto's Sanctuary within 10 or 20 minutes.

Travel information

By Air:
The hotel is approximately 25 km from Ancona Falconara Airport. Taxis are readily available from outside the airport and a taxi from the airport to the hotel should take about 20 minutes.

By Train:
The hotel is approximately 15 minutes from Jesi railway station or 25 minutes from Ancona railway station. Taxis are readily available from outside both stations.
