Travel information

Bormio is in Valtlin, in the Sondrio district of the Lombardy region, just a few kilometres from the Swiss border.

By Car (from Milan):
- Take the Milan Nord ring road.
- Take the exit for Cinisello on to the SS36 motorway.
- Follow the SS36 motorway from Lecco to Colico.
- Then take the SS38 to Sondrio, then Tirano and then on to Bormio.

By Car (from Brescia):
- Take the A4 motorway west out of Brescia, following the signs for Brescia Ovest and Iseo Lake.
- Then take the SS42 to Breno and then Edolo.
- Take the SS39 to Aprica and then Tirano.
- Exit on to the SS38 towards Bormio.

By Car (from Zernez):
- Take the La Drossa – Tunnel, known as the Munt la Schera Drossa to P.te del Gallo, and then on to Livigno.
- Then take the SS301 to Bormio. The tunnel is open all year long but there is a toll.

During the summer months, you can reach the hotel via the following passes: Stilsferjoch, Gavia Pass and Forcola Pass

The Palace Hotel is on the SS38, at the entrance of town (if you are arriving from Milan) on the left-hand side of the road.
