With a superb location, along a seaside road, just in front of the beach, this charming family-run hotel offers spectacular views of the beautiful bay and out to the horizon.
Originally constructed in the 1900s, the hotel has been extensively restored and sympathetically renovated using local materials and craftspeople. Today the accommodation features modern comforts and facilities, while still retaining the beauty and charm of an ancient Sicilian home. All of the hotel’s air conditioned, en suite accommodation is comfortable and individually decorated with a unique combination of furnishings, curtains and linen and its own special colour scheme.
There is a free beach outside of the hotel, 2 well-equipped private beaches, and a bus stop offering a regular bus service to Taormina, 3 km away. Buses also run regularly to Catania-Fontanarossa Airport and Taormina-Giardini train station.

Hotel information
The hotel has a salon with a small library, as well as a veranda overlooking the sea with spectacular views of the bay and out to the horizon. Up on the hotel’s 4th floor, there is a bar with a large outdoor terrace with panoramic views of the water. The 5th floor has a large terrace for sunbathing and a shower made out of volcanic rock.

The bright, spacious, airy rooms are different in colours and furniture and well-equipped with all the modern comforts and facilities you need to enjoy a restful, relaxing holiday. All of the rooms are fully double-glazed and feature independently controlled air conditioning and heating.
Food & beverage
Each day you can enjoy your breakfast in the morning sun outside on the veranda, overlooking the sea. Breakfast includes fresh, locally grown, natural produce, including home-baked Sicilian cakes, bread, croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt, salamis and local cheese. It also features fair-trade tea, barley, chocolate and muesli, as well as different kinds of organic marmalade and jam made by the cooperatives that farm the land which has been confiscated to the mafia by the government.
The bar and the restaurant are situated on the hotel’s 4th floor, on the outdoor terrace with its spectacular views of the bay. The bar is open from April to September, offering a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks; including Sicilian wines and cocktails made with almond milk, fresh fruit juice and freshly squeezed tangerines and red oranges. In the evenings, the bar offers a buffet featuring local specialities of the region.
From April to September, the restaurant offers its own unique interpretations of dishes based on the region’s Sicilian and Arab traditions, including Sicilian specialities with fish and vegetables cooked following traditional local recipes. The hotel offers authentic traditional cooking in the old style, using only fresh ingredients and, of course, fresh, locally caught, seafood.
Area information
The hotel is located right in the historic centre of Giardini Naxos. The nearby bus stop offers fast, easy, convenient access to the whole of the surrounding area. As well as the regular public bus services to Catania-Fontanarossa Airport, Taormina-Giardini train station and Taormina itself, the private tour buses also use this stop. Tours to all of Sicily with multilingual guides can be arranged and booked at reception. Alternatively, the hotel can provide all the information, train schedules and bus timetables guests need to explore the island independently.

By Air:
The hotel is approximately 55 km from Catania-Fontanarossa Airport. Taxis are readily available from just outside the airport. Alternatively, the Interbuses run regularly from the airport to Giardini Naxos via the motorway, with a journey time of approximately 45 minutes. The buses stop right in front of the hotel.
By Train:
The hotel is approximately one km from the Taormina-Giardini Naxos railway station. Taxis are readily available from just outside the station. Alternatively, buses run regularly from the station every 20 minutes. The buses stop right in front of the hotel.
By Car (from the A18 Messina – Catania motorway):
From the A18 Messina – Catania motorway, take the exit for Giardini Naxos. The hotel is approximately one km from the exit.
