The Hotel Picchio Nero "The Black Woodpecker" is situated in Terranova di Pollino, in the heart of the Pollino National Park - Italy's largest and least visited protected mountainous forest area. For thirty four years the Golia-Genovese family have been providing a Basilicatan welcome to visitors. This truly family-run hotel has grown from humble beginnings (two rooms and four restaurant tables) into a very comfortable 25 rooms, all en suite (and most with balcony), colour TV, and individual heating.
