Food & beverage
The Enoteca Ristorante Petessi takes its name from the former Capitano del Popolo of San Quirico d'Orcia who lived in this building in the 15th century. The former stables, which have retained their original vaulted ceilings, have been converted into a restaurant room with bar and a large fireplace. In this welcoming atmosphere or under the shade of olive trees guests can enjoy dishes based on traditional Tuscan recipes. The cellar, discovered during the restoration, guards a wide selection of fine wines, such as Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Classico, Nobile di Montepulciano and the local Orcia d.o.c. During summer meals will be served in our beautiful private garden.
The Trattoria Al Vecchio Forno, just a short distance from the hotel but also owned by the hotel proprietors, is a traditional Tuscan restaurant with 2 dining rooms, spread over 2 floors. There is a fireplace to warm the cold winter nights and a delightful garden for the summer and romantic candlelit dinners. Here you can enjoy traditional, regional home made dishes (home made pasta, cakes, soups) with a fine selection of excellent local wines.
Breakfast is served from around 08:00 until about 10:00.

The hotel lies in San Quirico d'Orcia, a beautiful medieval village in the heart of Tuscany. Of artistic interest are the beautiful and ancient church, la Collegiata, the small Romanesque church of Sante Marie and the Horti Leonini Italian style gardens. From San Quirico d'Orcia you can easily reach the history and art rich centres of Montalcino, Montepulciano and Pienza. Nature lovers will simply enjoy exploring the picturesque countryside around the village.
