The cellar of Villa Crespi is situated underground where, during the fifties, you could find the areas dedicated to the prayers of the Azione Cattolica.
In the cellars, one only for red wine and another one for white wines, champagne and spumante, the wines can rest at a perfect level of humidity and temperature.
According to a popular legend, some tunnels connected Villa Crespi to the Island of San Giulio and the tower of Buccione (fortress dating back to the 12th-century, dominating Orta lake).

The restaurant is closed every Monday for the whole day and Tuesdays at lunchtime.
