The original and most important activity of the estate has always been farming, both for the position of the area and its extension, which still covers about 800 hectares of Mediterranean marquis and 400 hectares of sown fields. Cereals and fodder are mainly grown in this area.
Following the same ancient rituals, Mocajo produces a typical Tuscan oil with the traditional "fiscoli" and cold pressing methods and the d.o.c. Montescudaio wine, which now represent its highest quality food products.
Land drainage and deforestation together with great attention paid to the inner road conditions aim to preserve and safeguard the natural background of the estate.
The whole building, with the annexed farmhouse, has been recently restored and can accommodate up to 30 guests. On the ground floor there is a large hall with the billiards and a big restaurant.
As members of F.I.S.E.(Federazione Italiana Sport Equestri) the hotel can guarantee professionalism and safety.

The house offers 14 beds, divided into 3 suites and 5 double rooms, each one with independent bathrooms, a large kitchen, a dining room, a games room and a large sitting room with Satellite-TV.
Food & beverage
The restaurant, with an elegant hall, serves excellent dishes recovered from the traditional Tuscan cooking.
Every day the chef takes care of making use of local ingredients for cooking, in particular the extra virgin olive oil and the wine produced in the Tenuta.
The restaurant finds its inspiration from hunting, one of the oldest traditional activities of the Tenuta Mocajo. For lunch and dinner you can choose different Tuscan meat dishes.
Area information
The ancient little Church of Mocajo (1700), where religious ceremonies and weddings are still celebrated, is the natural frame to the Medieval Village.
For those who love nature, the estate organises trips with its own horses along the several paths which cross the whole area. A lot of neighbouring places can be reached on horseback.
The instructors' experience can satisfy all levels, for both beginners and the most experienced riders.
