The Moorish style of the Westin Excelsior’s architecture is echoed discretely in all the Hotel’s 178 elegant and spacious double rooms and its 19 memorably luxurious suites.
Throughout the season, which lasts from April to November, the rooms overlooking the sea enjoy a wide expanse of the Adriatic Sea, while on the other side clients can experience breathtaking sunsets over Venice.
From the air-conditioning to the stylish harmony of the furnishings, every modern comfort supplied, as one would expect of a hotel whose name has always been a byword for quality, a gilded haven for high society.

Food & beverage

Another of the features for which the Westin Excelsior is famous is the priority it gives to gastronomic quality, with three restaurants offering varied menus based on Mediterranean cooking and regional specialities.

The “Tropicana” serves regional and international dishes for both lunch and dinner. “La Taverna” is located on the beach and is open from June to September.
Finally, in July and August, there is “La Terrazza”, the terrace restaurant overlooking the sea, which promises candle-lit dinners and pure gastronomic delight, an unforgettable prelude to a romantic stroll beside the Adriatic Sea.

And for a pre-dinner aperitif or to break up the intense rhythm of a business meeting, there is the “Blue Bar”, which also has discreet live music during the evening.

From Highways A4 (Milan-West/Trieste-East), A1 (Bologna-South), A27 (Cortina-North):

Exit: Venezia, take the state road to Venezia. Cross the Liberty Bridge turn right at the traffic lights, proceed down the ramp and turn right at the
roundabout. Proceed straight on past the Tronchetto Island parking facilities to the Lido Car Ferry Service Dock. Upon arrival with the car ferry at Lido, turn right into Riviera S. Nicolò and follow it into Riviera S.M. Elisabetta and P.zle S.M. Elisabetta. Turn left into Gran Viale, at ist end turn right into Lungomare Marconi and proceed to The Westin Excelsior, Venice Lido Resort at n°41. Parking facilities are available from the Garage Excelsior.
From Marco Polo International Airport:
- By water taxi, available 24 hours. Apply to Starwood Desk in the arrival hall, open 9 am-5:30 pm for assistance. When the Starwood Desk is closed, contact the Taxi Desk "Consorzio Venezia Motoscafi" for assistance. Cash payment only.
- By public transport. The boat company Alilaguna runs a regular service from the airport boat pier (700m away) to Lido SM Elisabetta. Travel time is approx. 90 minutes. Tickets (cash only) from the Alilaguna desk in the airport arrivals hall.
From Santa Lucia Train Station:
- By water taxi, available 24 hours from the waterfront outside the railway station. Cash only.
- By public transport. Waterbuses (vaporettos), n°1/n°51 are available regularly from the waterfront outside the railway station to vaporetto stop Lido SM Elisabetta. The Westin Excelsior, Venice Lido Resort is short taxi ride from the vaporetto stop. Cash only.
From Piazzale Roma:
- By water taxi, available 24 hours from the waterfront at Piazzale Roma. Cash payment only.
- By public transport, waterbuses (vaporettos), n°1/n°51 are available regularly from the waterfront at Piazzale Roma to vaporetto stop Lido SM Elisabetta. The Westin Excelsior, Venice Lido Resort is short taxi ride from the vaporetto stop. Cash payment only.
From Cruise Ship Harbor:
- By water taxi, available 24 hours from the waterfront where the ship berths. Cash payment only.
