The Hotel Villa Marsili, a fascinating history of the building itself and the charm of its location in historic Cortona.
The views from the Hotel are absolutely outstanding. The building faces the Valdichiana therefore offering each client the spectacular view of Mount Amiata, Mount Cetona, Lake Trasimeno and the surrounding hills.Villa Marsili is situated inside the town walls and dates back as far as the XIV Century where the site actually housed the very old church named Madonna degli Alemanni, as well as an Oratory below. Later in the 1700s, the site held the villa that now has become the beautiful Hotel.

The 26 bedrooms (of which are 3 suites and 6 deluxe bedrooms en suite with Jacuzzi, direct dial telephone, Internet connection, air conditioning, mini-bar and safe) are finely and elegantly decorated and frescoed.
The same intimate atmosphere pervades the breakfast lounge, the sitting rooms with the fireplace and the scenic pergolas of the outdoor gardens where you can have a relaxing tea, while enjoying the lovely valley and the village's picturesque houses.
Travel information
From highway A1: Continue along the State Motorway SS75 bis 'Siena Perugia' exiting at the second 'Cortona' indication and follow for about 5 km. Arriving in the center of 'Camucia' one finds a soccer field to the right and immediately arrives at a crossing. Here turn left (Cortona) and follow for about 400 meters. At the traffic light turn right (a tight U curve). After about 50 meters turn left ('via Scotoni') and follow the long incline in the direction of Cortona. One reaches a crossing and is able to see the historic center of Cortona and follow for about 2 km. The road is comprised of two wide curves after which a fork in the road indicates the various directions to hotels and restaurants in Cortona and also one for Villa Marsili. Here turn right once more (U curve) and follow the incline that is a tree-lined avenue. Follow from the crossing for about 500 meters, until to the right one finds a fenced three floored yellow building. This is the Villa Marsili. It is advised to continue along for a few meters until the road widens somewhat. Here one will find a parking lot to the right.
From Perugia: Take the State Motorway SS75 bis 'Siena Perugia' and exit at the 'Castiglione del Lago' indication. Merging to the right one will then find a sign for Cortona. Continue for about 7 km until one reaches the traffic light within Camucia. At this point turn right (U curve). Then follow the above indications.
