In the Seventies it was modelled considering the several problems of the surrounding area, between the sea and the industrial archaeology. It is a semicircular building and all the rooms are turned towards the rising of the sun; to the shoulders the atmospheres and the sight are protected from the wall of the corridor and noises do not arrive. Here therefore a premonitory example of good architectonic style and planning ability. The characteristic building to sail shape rests on a wide base composed by different surroundings. A large arcade entrance, reception, bar, gallery with garden. In front of it, between the dock and the canal port, you can see the calm and choreographic passage of the fishermen boats, the motorboats, the sailing boats. All the characteristics make it an ideal place for short relax after the job or for an extended vacation. Very comfortable rooms, good cuisine, facility of parking; the famous Velvet Beach is at 150 meters; also the historical centre is reachable in a few steps, crossing the characteristic revolving bridge on the Misa river. The parking in front of the hotel is spacious, free and safe. The hotel is provided of disabled access in all the common areas and it has two rooms appropriately furnished.

45 rooms, all with a balcony, beautiful sight on the sea and the port; recently renewed have comfortable pavements in moquette, wood furniture, colors on the blue tones, very comfortable bathrooms, all the modern comforts like air conditioning, TV, direct telephone. Possibility of added beds.
Food & beverage
Nearly like a navigating bridge, the restaurant is located at the first floor. The hall has glasses all around overlooking the port, the beach, the sea. Wood furnishings, white, blue and yellow panels; wide space between the tables; the beautiful pictures of valid local artists like Marinelli, Bartolini and Arduini have been purposely commissioned from the owner to the artists to fit out the restaurant.
Good traditional cuisine that prefers the fish and the typical ones menu of sea, with a little fantasy. The sea cuisine made the restaurant famous and searched from the Seventies. Here you come for the grilled soles, bread coated soles, the fish-fry of the port, the mussels and clams soup, the brodetto alla marinara, the ravioli and cannelloni fish fillings. Classics appetizers of sea with lumachine, seafood, octopus and cuttlefish salad.
Area information
Senigallia is the only city on the Adriatic Coast of the Marches with a pleasant historic centre by the sea and by the famous “Velvet Beach”.
You can have fun, sunbathe and appreciate artistic and monumental beauties. From Senigallia it is possible to visit the hinterland, medieval villages and a wonderful countryside.
Travel information
Coming by car, from the motorway exit turn right towards the sea. Go straight following direction "Pesaro". There are three traffic lights: at the third turn left following the direction "Railway station": you will drive around the Vime Senbhotel building characterised by purple balconies. Go ahead along the main road; exceed the railway station and one hundred meters after the bridge on the Misa river turn right crossing a railway; in the bottom on your right you find the Vime Hotel La Vela.
The nearest Airport is Falconara (AOI) at 16 kms. The hotel can provide a transfer service at a fixed rate of Euro 40,00.
The train Station of Senigallia is at 5 minutes walking.
